Celebrating the IPNDV’s 10th Anniversary
In 2024, the IPNDV is celebrating the great progress that it has made across 10 years, 3 phases of work, 13 exercises and technology demonstrations, and 19 in-person plenary and working meetings.
For the past decade, the Partnership has brought together a diverse group of countries to identify and develop solutions to the technical and procedural challenges associated with effectively verifying nuclear disarmament. In 2014, when Under Secretary of State for Arms Control and International Security Rose Gottemoeller announced that the U.S. Department of State would lead the IPNDV with the Nuclear Threat Initiative, she said, “This new initiative will…create a non-traditional partnership that draws on the expertise of talented individuals around the world.” The Partnership has grown to include 30 partner countries and the European Union and remains committed to taking a cooperative approach to overcoming verification challenges, with active participation from countries with and without nuclear weapons.
We invite you to join us in celebrating this milestone in Geneva from June 26-27.
