Active neutron techniques and interrogation systems are used to detect neutron and gamma emissions. During the nuclear weapon dismantlement process these techniques can be used to confirm the presence of Special Nuclear Material and High Explosives. Active neutron techniques collect proliferation sensitive information and require the use of information barriers.
