Radiation templates are a set of reference data points such as images, radiation signatures, or other measurements used to identify a nuclear weapon or nuclear weapon components. The data points are taken from a trusted item and then compared to other items to confirm their identity. This technique requires the use of an information barrier in order to protect proliferation sensitive data points.
