The Raman explosive identification system uses molecular vibrations induced by an optical laser to indicate the presence of High Explosives (HE). It can be used in the nuclear weapon dismantlement process to detect for any HE in the spectral library of all known explosives This technology collects proliferation sensitive information and requires the use of an information barrier.
