X-ray backscattering imaging technology, such as Compton backscattering cameras, are cameras that determine the shape and size of High Explosive (HE) components within a container through X-ray interrogation and imaging. This technology can determine the sizes and shapes of HE after the nuclear weapon dismantlement process if it is placed inside a non-metallic container. This technology collects proliferation sensitive information and requires the use of an information barrier.
